Q: Why should we choose you over your competitors?

A: We understand that there’s a lot of competition in our industry. A lot of our clients choose to hire us because we are a relationship-driven business, rather than a transaction-driven business. We treat your property as if it were our own. We take a lot of pride in walking away from your property knowing that your trees are safer, healthier, and more beautiful, and the rest of your property looks like we were never even there.

Q: What does it mean to be a relationship-based business?

A: We treat our clients more like they’re our friends and family, instead of treating them like just a customer. When you do business with us, we want you to remember us for many years. We know most of our clients by name, and we follow up frequently. You can expect occasional thank you and holiday cards or phone calls just to remind you that we genuinely care about you and your property, not just your money!

Q: How long have you been in business?

A: K ‘N’ K Tree Services was formed in 2015, with K ‘N’ K Property Services to follow in 2018. We are a newer business, but Kris and I have over 20 years of combined experience in the industry. Kris has been a tree climber for over 17 years.

Q: Tree work is a very dangerous industry. What made you guys want to do it?

A: Trees are a huge passion for both of us, that we genuinely enjoy. It’s this sort of controlled chaos that’s addictive and fun for us most of the time. I think our favorite part about it is just knowing that we have learned a skill that’s not common. It’s something that not everyone can do.

Q: You talk about tree work a lot, but you do other work too, right?

A: Yes we do! Like I said tree work is our true passion but we also take care of some small landscaping projects like mulch installs and refreshes, some planting, etc. as well as snow removal.

Q: Do you have any advice for homeowners, especially DIYers?

A: Yes, of course! There’s nothing wrong with trying to tackle yard work on your own but it’s very important to know your limits! So many people get injured or even killed every year by trying to do tree work that should be handled by a professional. The most important thing to remember is that if you are EVER unsure or uncomfortable with something, there’s probably a good reason. It’s simply not worth taking that risk. Trees can be very unpredictable, especially if you’re inexperienced. If you ever feel that way, pick up the phone and give us a call.

Q: Any other last minute words?

A: Just pay attention. When you’re out in the yard, look up once in a while, and if you see branches that have already broken off and are hanging (widowmakers), or diseased/dead trees, limbs that are scraping your home, etc. give us a call. It’s crucial that these issues are handled in a timely manner before your property is damaged, or even worse, someone gets hurt!
